October will see the publication of Cecil Sharp and the Quest for Folk Song and Dance; a New Biography by David Sutcliffe. This is a long overdue appraisal of the life and work of one of the most important of the early song collectors and is the culmination of several years work by David Sutcliffe. This is a very timely publication, in that it will be the 100th anniversary of Sharp’s death next June. Keep an eye on the Ballad Partner’s website – use the link above.
